Colorado’s Wildfire Code and Non-Combustible Gutters
Colorado’s statewide Wildland-Urban Interface code, effective July 1, 2025, requires non-combustible gutter materials in designated WUI zones, alongside Class A roofing materials and ember-resistant vents, whenever a roof replacement covers more than 25% of the roof or a new structure is built. We confirm whether your property falls in a WUI zone and what that means for your gutter material choice before you’re surprised by it mid-permit.
